Le 8 mars, célébrons les femmes du monde rural !
Le 8 mars, journée internationale des droits de femmes sera l’occasion de célébrer à Marrakech, Rabat, Casablanca et Essaouira les femmes du monde rural et le travail accompli depuis juillet 2021 par les participantes engagées dans le projet 99 FEMMES MAROC. Après la collecte de récits de 99 femmes du monde rural marocain au cours de l’été 2021, la réécriture de ces témoignages en darija ou français par une quarantaine de femmes citadines de Rabat, Marrakech et Casablanca, la traduction collaborative des textes issus des ateliers d’écriture a commencé en février 2022 avec un groupe de traductrices enthousiastes. Dans les villages, les rencontres se poursuivent pour identifier les ressources culturelles qui seront mises en avant cet été lors des festivals communautaires IFALAN.

Les Ait Boughemez ou La Vallée heureuse
Après Tizi N’oucheg, Tamarout et Tata, la conception et l’organisation des festivals communautaires IFALAN ont continué dans les Ait Boughmez – la vallée heureuse. Conçus comme un catalyseur social, économique et culturel, ces festivals visent à mettre en valeur les produits du terroir confectionnés dans les coopératives de femmes, faire la démonstration des savoir-faire – fabrication du pain, l’art du henné, le tissage de la laine – et promouvoir la vente d’artisanat local. Point d’orgue de la première édition, la pièce de théâtre 99 FEMMES MAROC, créée à partir des récits de vie des femmes du monde rural : elle sera jouée en darija et amazighe dans chacun des 9 villages.

Proche du projet et animatrice d’un atelier de peinture à Tamarout, la chercheure et artiste, Danielle Pailler revient dans un long entretien sur l’importance de la culture pour éclairer le potentiel d’innovation des communautés. Pour elle, le projet 99 FEMMES MAROC est un bon exemple de mise en pratique des « droits culturels ». Les activités artistiques partagées, l’identification des traces sensibles d’un héritage matériel et immatériel et leur valorisation renforce la confiance des femmes et la conscience qu’elles sont porteuses d’un patrimoine intérieur qui « fait » culture.
Traduction collaborative
Déployé dans 7 régions du Maroc, le projet 99 FEMMES MAROC reflète la diversité linguistique du pays : les femmes du monde rural se sont exprimées en darija ou en langues amazighes. Le français et le darija ont ensuite été utilisés comme les langues de réécriture. A présent, la traduction de l’ensemble de textes dans ces deux langues est en cours et mené par une équipe de traductrices bilingues enthousiastes : Kenza Abourmane, Zakia Bennouna, Khadija Bidar, Karima Elkhabous, Ghizlane Etrillard, Lamia Gormit et Nadia Janati qui oeuvrent avec sensibilité pour restituer la force des paroles des femmes du monde rural.

Du 8 mars au 11 mars, célébrons les femmes du monde rural !
A l’occasion de la Journée internationale des droits des femmes, célébrons ensemble les femmes du monde rural ! Du 8 au 11 mars 2022, pour son lancement officiel, 99 FEMMES MAROC s’invite dans les villes de Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat et Essaouira. Le temps d’une soirée, l’équipe projet propose une immersion dans le monde rural de ces femmes à travers notamment une exposition photographique et des capsules sonores des récits recueillis au cours de l’été 2021. Réécrits lors d’ateliers d’écriture avec la collaboration de dizaines de femmes de trois grandes villes, ces voix multiples font résonner toute la puissance des femmes du monde rural. Une présentation détaillée du projet ainsi qu’une lecture participative de monologues complètent cet événement.

On March 8, let’s celebrate rural women!
March 8, International Women’s Rights Day will be an opportunity to celebrate in Marrakech, Rabat, Casablanca and Essaouira the women of the rural world and the work accomplished since July 2021 by the participants involved in the project 99 WOMEN MOROCCO. After the collection of stories from 99 women from the Moroccan rural world during the summer of 2021, the rewriting of these testimonies in Darija or French by around forty urban women from Rabat, Marrakech and Casablanca, the collaborative translation of the texts resulting from the workshops writing started in February 2022 with a group of enthusiastic women translators. In the villages, meetings are continuing to identify the cultural resources that will be showcased this summer during the IFALAN community festivals.

The Ait Boughemez or the Happy Valley
After Tizi N’oucheg, Tamarout and Tata, the design and organization of IFALAN community festivals continued in Ait Boughmez – the happy valley. Designed as a social, economic and cultural catalyst, these festivals aim to display local products made in women’s cooperatives, demonstrate skills – bread making, the art of henna, weaving wool – and promote the sale of local handicrafts. The highlight of the first edition, the play 99 WOMEN MOROCCO, inspired by the life stories of women from the rural world, will be performed in Darija and Amazigh in each of the 9 villages.

Close to the project and facilitator of a painting workshop in Tamarout, the researcher and artist, Danielle Pailler tells in a long interview about the importance of culture to highlight the potential for innovation of communities. For her, the project 99 WOMEN MOROCCO is a good example of putting “cultural rights” into practice. Shared artistic activities, the identification of sensitive traces of a material and immaterial heritage and their enhancement strengthen women’s confidence and the awareness that they hold an inner heritage that “makes” culture.
Collaborative translation
Deployed in 7 regions of Morocco, the project 99 WOMEN MOROCCO reflects the linguistic diversity of the country: women from the rural world expressed themselves in Darija or Amazigh languages. French and Darija were then used as the rewriting languages. At present, the translation of the set of texts into these two languages is in progress and carried out by a team of enthusiastic bilingual translators: Kenza Abourmane, Zakia Bennouna, Khadija Bidar, Karima Elkhabous, Ghizlane Etrillard, Lamia Gormit and Nadia Janati who work with sensitivity to reflect the powerful words of women of the rural world.

From March 8 to March 11, let’s celebrate rural women!
On International Women’s Day, let’s celebrate rural women together! From March 8 to 11, 2022, for its official launch, 99 WOMEN MOROCCO visits to the cities of Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat and Essaouira. For an evening, the project team offers an immersion in the rural world of these women, through a photographic exhibition and sound capsules of the stories collected during the summer of 2021. Rewritten during writing workshops with the collaboration of dozens of women from 3 cities, these multiple voices make resonate the power of women in the rural world. A detailed presentation of the project as well as a participative reading of monologues complete this event.
