Teams dedicated to specific phases of the process


Phase 1: interview, active listening (April – June 2016)

There will be 6 teams of interviewers.

Each team will create its own identity (name, color …) and include 10 to 12 interviewers as well as one interviewers’ facilittaor.

Interviewers are in charge of interviewing volunteers (interviewees). They will be allocated to a specific team according to their place of residence to avoid long travel times within the city.

Each team will meet every other week to share their experiences and learn from each other.

We expect each interviewer to conduct 6 interviews, so that a total of 360 interviews can be collected.

Interviewers’ facilitators work together to create a frame for the interviews and to design a workshop for the interviewers. The objective of the workshop is to train participants on listening and questioning, to help the interviewers be active and engaged.

Phase 2: collaborative writing (June – October 2016)

Each team will create its own identity (name, color …) and include 8 writers and one writing animator.

Each team will meet every other week to practice and to do writing exercices. The writers will work in between, as writing is an every day duty.

The snapshots will be published with the name of the author and his group.

Phase 3: collaborative editing (November 2016- January 2017)

A small group of 3 to 6 writers will work together and edit the new “99” play. They will define the number and the name of the different acts.

Phase 4: collaborative staging (February – May 2017)

There will be as many teams of actors as there are acts (in the “99 women”, season 1, there were 7 acts, with 12 actresses in each act).

Each team will create its own identity (name, color …) and include actors and an acting coordinator.

There will be 2 or 3 dancing teams.

There will also be a creative team to work on decor, costumes, lights, music, etc.

Teams to support the whole project

The communication team

A group will be dedicated to run “the99project.net” platform, covering the following functions:

  • editorial
  • technical (wordpress, wechat, Facebook)
  • back office (registration, publication, etc.)

Within the communication team, a dedicated team will be responsible for initiating the recruitment of volunteers for each phase. This team will prepare presentations for each phase to recruit volunteers through conferences and social networks. From the first volunteers recruited, further groups will be formed, each recruiting for their own group.

Within the communication team, there will also be a media team, including photographers, sketchers, video makers. They will produce digitally enriched content to post on the website and push through to wechat and facebook.
